Why isn't my iphone 5s charging?

I've had it for almost a year and before it worked fine. For some reason it has stopped responding to my lightning cable. So i borrowed my sister's cable (which works for her 5s) and plugged it in. The green charging symbol comes on and flickers a few times and then it stops charging. Currently, my phone is loosing power really quickly because of all the fast little millisecond charging sessions

Maybe it's the charger. Or maybe something is wrong with your phone

It might be your plug. Buy a new plug. That happened to me and I got a new plug it worked fine
