Why Isn't My Weather App Animated in iOS 7?
I had seen pictures and videos of the Weather App in iOS 7 animating (for example: lightning striking if there are thunderstorms or rain falling if it's raining). Mine is just a picture of clouds now, not moving.
Is there any setting I need to change to get the weather animated? Please note I have the iPhone 4 so it may not get this feature?
I don't know, but I'd like to know as well. I have an iPhone 4 and the weather isn't animated on it either. Disappointed.
Mine has stopped working too. This was one of the coolest features on the iPhone… Hopefully they fix this.
Yes - iPhone 4 does not support those heavy features. By heavy, I mean CPU intensive. And, the iPhone 4 does not support animations as such.
Now, if you are on a newer iPhone and your animations have stopped, it's because you have turned on "Reduce Motion" setting in Accessibility under General settings. When you turn on Reduce Motion, it turns off the animation and the parallax effect and also saves your battery life - Personal choice.
