Why my Iphone3g looses its Tmobile signal?
Hi, I recently purchased a used Iphone 3g, but my Tmobile signal drops easily. I live in an area where there are not problems with signals. Phone calls drops easily when using my Iphone 3g, and when I'm driving, I get a no signal icon. The phone configuration is right. Can someone give a clue of what could the problem be, and advise.

PLUS… You have a Iphone 3G… Which MEANS that you have a ATT Iphone 3G… Jailbroke it and hack unlocked it so it could work on ATT… Please understand that ATT and Tmobile share different 3G settings… ATT uses quad band 850, 1900, 1850, and 2100 for 3G… Tmobile only uses 1700 and 2100… So, there's only 2100 in common… So when you get to an area of a tmobile that only gives off 1700… Then your are screwed… Cause ATT phones don't have 1700 radios… ATT phones have the quad band radio… So… When you get to the 1700 tower area, you will have no 3G… Drop instantly to 2G by default… Handoff from 3g to 2G is sacked… Causing you to drop and loose signal and calls…
so… Walla… Welcome to Tmobile… Want realiable service? Get a tmobile branded phone… Or… Leave tmobile… Your choice

I have Verizon (6 year customer) and have had my iPhone 4s for 1 year now, however, the past month or so I will be sitting in my house on my phone with 3-4 bars loading a page on the internet or using an app requiring data and I'll just directly go to "no service" (as noted by the small "o" in place of the "3G" icon. Not sure what it is, but my service has been abysmal lately, I've cleared all cache and website data, but nothing seems to be working:/
- Why does my iphone 3gs for tmobile keep losing signal? I have a 3gs unlocked and jailbroken iphone and it keeps loosing signal randomly, i can't send or receive calls or messages and it will randomly go off. Is it possible i need to jailbreak it again? And at times i turn on airplane mode then off and i'll recover signal for a couple of moments and i've tried turning it on and off as well as taking out the sim card, problem has been on going for 3 days -thanks
- My iPhone says its up to date but its not? I have the iPhone 4s and every time I go into settings-general-software update, it says my software is up to date with iOS 6.1.3! All my friends have gotten iOS 7 already! Why doesn't mine say I need to update to iOS 7! And how can I make it say that? And I know that the iPhone 4s can get it.
