Why people keep saying Android phones are for poor people?

I really don't understand this thing, because it is simply not true, it's true that most budget phones are android, but also old iPhones can be picked up really cheap, like, you can buy an used iPhone 6 for under 200€, there are also a lot of android phones that cost as much as the new iPhones, like for example the Samsung flagships that are usually 1000+ €/$, but despite this people keep saying that androids are for poor people and iPhones are for rich people, also this thing only applies to phones, because for example, for PCs no one says Windows PCs are for poor and Macs are for rich.

Phones that run Android OS come in a huge range of prices from very cheap to very expensive. So yes, when purchasing a new phone on a limited budget there are many more options with Android than say iOS.

Apples model essentially has always been exclusivity. They do not license their product so you can only get Apple or Apple compatible products through them. So they charge more which makes you think they are better (and old psychological trick) and then when you are invested in the Apple ecosystem you are essentially committed to it.

So in a way, yes, Apple typically isn't geared to affordability, so poor people would often have to look at other alternatives. But plenty of rich people stay away from Apple also. And plenty of people who can't afford expensive products buy them for some reason (I guess to fit in, look cool, or whatever)

They are ignorant. IPhones are like Jordan's, they keep making the same thing and dumb people who think it means something keep buying them. Most people with iPhones are poor

I like androids.

Sure, iPhones are expensive but high-end Android phones are too. Sure secondhand iPhones are cheap but you can get fake Android phones that look like expensive iPhone and Andoids for cheap, brandnew. So there, for the poor.

Because there are low cost Android Phones and Apple doesn't have a phone for under $700 since it doesn't seem to make the SE anymore,

I can tell when watching TV is the family is rich because there's an Apple Logo on their laptop.
