Why should I do. I bought a iPhone on craigslist but it's stolen?
I was looking for a 4s and I searched on craigslist. I bought one from a guy on craigslist who apparently comes to my school but I don't know his name and my school is pretty big. I took it home put the Meid number onto a website. It told me that it was stolen. Why should I do?
Try to find him in your school. Tell the principle that a person in the school stole your phone. Give as much as you know.
Sell it for parts, or trade it.
if you wanna trade it for a working iphone, email me
Flag the sale ad on Craigslist as prohibited. Forward the emails to support@craigslist.org with an explanation, and print out a copy and bring it and the phone to police.
- Sprint iphone bought off craigslist still active on other account? I bought a Sprint iPhone 4 off of Craigslist andwhen I took it up to Sprint I found out it was active on the guy who sold it to me, his account. He still owes money for his contract. They told me the only way it would work was for him to pay it off. Is this true? Could I get it jail broken and it work on my Sprint account?
- I have a stolen iPhone 5c but I didn't know it was stolen? I bought an iPhone and checked the imei and I found out it was stolen. I can't use it yet because it is stuck in the beginning where it says " please insert a sim card, SIM required" I just want to use it as an iPod since I got it for a good cheap price. It is a sprint phone, and also if I take it to Apple or Sprint will they take the phone away? I didn't know it was stolen and I don't want to get blamed or end up losing money. The iPhone was restored already.
- I bought a stolen iPhone off of craigslist? I took it to Verizon Wireless and they said it was stolen and that they couldn't do anything with it. Is there anyway I will be able to use this phone? Would unlocking it allow me to activate it?
- How to know if the iPhone 5S on Craigslist is not stolen? I wasn't to by the iPhone 5S in gold, brand new in a box with an Apple receipt. Several of these are actually available on Craigslist for varying prices, which I don't mind paying, since the persons selling them actually did the dirty work of standing in line for endless hours. Or so they claim. But, how do I know if these phones are not stolen property? I don't want to buy a stolen phone.
