Why won't iOS 8 install on my iPhone 4s?
Been trying to install the update all week and it keeps getting to almost 100% installed and downloaded and then it says it can't install IOS 8. I can't find a reason as to why it won't install, any advice?
I wouldn't run ios 8 on under iPhone 5, simply because the new software is designed for the faster processors.
IOS8 runs just fine on iPhone 5. It may be slower on 4s, though.
Are you trying to do an OTA update? Or an update through iTunes.
If you're having problems doing it through OTA, you may not have enough free space, even though it thinks it does. (especially if you only have an 8gig phone). Try the update via iTunes to see if that helps.
I wouldn't install it if I were you, it doesn't run well for it. IOS 7 wasn't even supposed to go on the iPhone 4 and 4s.
It's your phone trying to prevent its processor from being over taxed… Don't do it, seriously.
- Why won't any cracked apps install on ios 7 with appsync 7.0+? I have a jailbroken iPhone 5 running ios 7.0.4. I downloaded appsyn 7.0+ from cydia, yet it still keeps failing to download any cracked apps. I've tried using appcake, zeusmos, and i-funbox yet none are installing.
- Why won't it let me install ios 6? I want to install ios 6 but it is saying i need atleast 2.5 gigs of storage space. I have 3.8 gigs of storage available in icloud and i barely have 8 gigs of stuff on my iphone 4s 16 gig.
- Why won't IOS 7 install on my iPhone 4S? I downloaded it just fine until it needed to install is it because many people are downloading and installing it at the same time?
- Why won't Cydia download/install anything on my iPhone? I just jailbroke my iPhone 4 w/iOS 6.1 today. But when I went to install the winterboard or any other program it won't work. Messages like "Internal Server Error", or "Timed Out" or "Source Error" comes up in red letters. I've tried on 3G and my Wi-Fi connection and it still won't install anything. Any thoughts people? Are the boys at Cydia or the other sources still working on iOS 6.1 stuff?
