Why won't my iPhone 4s connect to my home Wi-Fi? - 1

I didn't get the new ios update or whatever, but recently it hasn't been able to connect to my homes Wi-Fi. I've never had this problem before and my houses Wi-Fi doesn't have a password. It doesn't even seem to acknowledge that the Wi-Fi is there, and my iPad doesn't have this problem.

Try and restart your modem and reboot your iPhone. You can do this by, holding down the home and lock button until the screen goes black.

Can someone please help me, its driving me crazy i've tried everything!
