Why won't my iTunes library work?
I just got an iPhone 5c and it easily synced to my library and all my songs went into my iTunes library then onto my phone. However, recently my computer crashed and my whole computer had to be restored so all the music is still on my phone but not on my computer. I kept hitting "scan for media" but nothing happened. My phone is connected to iTunes but even when I hit restore all info on my phone to this computer, nothing happened. So i tried downloading some more music. Now those 6 songs are in my iTunes library but they will NOT sync onto my phone. So my old music won't go to my computer, and the new music won't go to my phone… Can anyone help?
The thing is when you scan it, it only looks for music on your pc not phone to extract all the music you have to use special third party programs just look up on YouTube how to extract music from an iPhone
Itunes is ****. Don't use it.
If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.
If you didn't purchase them through Itunes, then you'll have to download software that will strip the songs from your iPhone/iPod onto your computer. And here is a step by step guide show you how to do that.
You can download your past purchases to your new computer from the iTunes Store.
1. Authorize the new computer on your iTunes account.
2. Sign in to the Store
3. Go to 'purchases'.
4. Click on the cloud icon to download all past purchases to the computer.
You can also download directly to your phone with Wi-Fi.
- Will downloading a new iTunes ruin my old iTunes library? I tried connecting my new iPhone 5 to my iTunes but it said that it wouldn't connect because my version of iTunes was really old (from 2010) and I never updated. It said I need to download a new version of iTunes (10.7 onwards) for it to be compatible with my iPhone. But my question is, IF I download a new version of iTunes, will all my old songs on my old iTunes disappear? Because if I had to re-download my whole library, I would seriously cry. That would take the rest of my life.
- Why won't my library on my computer sync with my iphone? I have music in my library on my computer but I can't get it to be on my iphone music. I've tried syncing them several times but it still doesn't work. Can anyone help?
- Why won't my iphone 4 sync with my itunes library? For some reason it does not work. I tried automatically syncing it and manually, but I can only get the songs if it is in a playlist. I want to be able to see all of the songs by artist though and the new songs are not under there. Also, some of the artists have spelling errors which I fixed on my itunes library, but which won't come up in my iphone. Really annoying. It used to be I just plugged in my ipod and everything synced with the itunes library.
- Why does iTunes need internet access to sync music CDs onto my library? I noticed my internet went out and while syncing music cd's I noticed it didn't show the track names without internet out of curiosity I'm wondering why it needs access to syncing cd's onto my iTunes?
