Why won't pictures open after getting hard drive transferred?

I took my laptop in a while back to have everything transferred to a new one. Now, some pictures from a family vacation won't open! It says "File format not supported," but all my other pictures will open and they were all taken on the same camera (iPhone). It's about the only vacation my family has ever taken so I'm really sad about it. Why would this be happening?

(PS the computer guy was extremely sketchy!)

It means that your pictures could be damaged during the transfer

  • What place can recover hard drive data from a dead iPhone 4? My phones battery circuitry short circuited from water damage. So my iPhone can't charge and is completely out of battery. Is there any place that can take out the hard drive and recover the data (music, contacts, pictures) and put it on my current phone?
  • What is the difference in the hard drive and the memory of a computer? I'm planning on buying the new iMac as my first computer in a couple months. I've never understood how the two are different. Like on an iPhone it just has memory and no hard drive. Also as part of my initial question in your explanation, if I download adobe photoshop then does it go to the hard drive or the memory? What about my iTunes music downloads and pictures saved to the computer?
  • Using my iPhone 5 as a USB stick/external hard drive? I need to move some stuff from my laptop (a Mac) onto my girlfriends laptop (a PC).Is there an app you can download or some technique?
  • Portable hard drive with audio out? I'm looking for something that will help me sound check my studio mixes in the car. I want to plug an mp3 player or hard drive into my computer, bounce a logic or protools mix straight out onto the hard drive, then take it in my car and plug it into my 1/8" input on my radio in my car. I can do it with an ipod or iphone but i have to put the file into itunes and sync every time, which takes time, and I don't want to clutter up my phone/ipod with junk rough cuts of songs.
