Why won't my iphone 4s screen work?
I just took apart and replaced my iphone 4s screen. Now the phone screen will not turn on. I tryed to charge it and nothing happened. I pluged it into my computer and it made the sounds to install itunes and what not. What could of happened while i was replacing the screen. And is there any step by step websites that can help me see and check all the small parts in a closer view?
You may have put something back in a wrong way, or something may have broken while you put it together. I recommend having it repaired by a professional, as trying to repair it yourself may cause further damage.
There are several things that could have gone wrong. Take it to an expert who can help you out. Hope it works well for you.
Could be a few things - First thing I would try is a hard reset. Just press the power button and home button at the same time and until it starts up, then you can let go of the home button. You may or may not see the Apple logo at that point. Sometimes that works. The other possibility is that the LCD connector is not fully connected. Its pretty easy to access - its just the 5th connector on slide 10 of this guide - http://www.slideshare.net/strivemobile/gsm-iphone-4-screen-repair-guide (its for the iPhone 4, but same process). Be sure it is fully in place. Sometimes this cable can also become ripped or damaged and cause the LCD not to display. If thats the case you may need a new screen.
