Will a Verizon 4g lte sim work in a cdma verizon iphone 4s?

I want to buy a iphone 4s online and my carrier is Verizon. If I bought a cdma Verizon one, and put my 4g lte sim into it, will I have my number and all that stuff and will it work?

Not positive, but I think the iPhone 4S doesn't support LTE.

Yes, you can use 3g in Verizon coverage areas. CDMA iPhone can't take sim cards, You need a GSM version.

Only the CDMA iPhone 4 doesn't use a SIM. The 4S does, so you're fine.

And no, the SIM will not work until you activate your phone onto Verizon's network. Once you do that, pop in the SIM, and use it normally. Also, Apple didn't add 4G/LTE capabilities until the 5, so you are stuck on EDGE/3G.
