Will an iphone 5 bought in dubai work in uk?
My uncle is buying me a SIM-free iphone 5 in dubai as it's cheaper over there than sim-free in the UK. I plan to use a giffgaff SIM with the iphone. The SIM will be bought in the UK.
However, I'm not sure if the iphone will work in the UK. Will I have to get the phone unlocked and is there anywhere that will do it cheap.
Phones you buy in Dubai are usually unlocked and simfree anyway so yes it will work in the UK with giffgaff.
