Will an iPhone 5s bought now last for a couple of years?

A network provider is offering a refurbished iPhone 5s for about £160. This is obviously a pretty good price, considering it comes with a warranty too, but would it realistically last two years? At the minute I've got a pretty low-end (although slightly bigger) android phone from 2 years ago, but it's still /reasonably/ smooth /most/ of the time - IIm surprised how well it's lasted!

I'm sure it will, people still use iphone 4S today and that was out 4 years ago.

It will last as long as it will last. The main thing that kills most cell phones is getting dropped several times over the time it's owned. Things dropped on it, falling into liquids and charging with chargers that were not made for the phone.

I have my first phone that I got back in 1992. It still works, still charges, can only be used to make a 911 call these days, since there are no analog carriers to activate it on.

I know people that have phones that have only been out for a few months, that no longer working due to getting dropped one too many times, with that number being once in many cases.

Yes, but it all comes down to your care of it. For instance I have an iPod classic from 2009, still runs like day 1.
