Will an Unlocked iPhone 5 work with Verizon?
I'm going to replace my iPhone 5 today at apple because of a lock button malfunction. If I were to sell the iPhone 5 that apple gives me today with the original packaging and everything that i had saved, would I then be able to buy a new Unlocked CDMA (if those even exist) iPhone 5 at apple, and use it with my current Verizon sim card?
The reason I'm selling and re buying an iPhone 5 is that I got bored of the black color, so I can get a white one instead, in case anyone was curious.
Please help though! I don't wanna sell my phone and then the white one I buy doesn't work.

Added (1). I don't mean sell mine back to apple, I mean sell it personally and then buy the white one at apple with the money I earned from that sale.
The iPhone 5 is compatible with both GSM and CDMA networks. I would think that the replacement that Apple gives you could be either black or white.
I would double check with Apple though to ensure that the unlocked iPhone will be compatible with the Verizon network--although it should be.
You probably will have to pay more than what you make from selling the iPhone to get the new, unlocked one though.
There's no unlocked CDMA variant of the iPhone 5 over at Apple's stores (unless you ordered it online and have it delivered to the store).It's only the unlocked GSM variants as far as I know. If you want an iPhone 5 that works with Verizon, then you have to get it from Verizon's stores or any subsidiary of Verizon. You can sell the iPhone 5 over at certain websites, but you're not gonna get close to the actual amount of money required to buy the phone off contract (you can buy it on contract most likely). - Will an unlocked iphone 4S work for tmobile if it isn't factory unlocked? I want to get an iPhone 4S and my friend has the iPhone 4 unlocked but i'm worried that if i get it non-factory unlocked it won't work. My uncle tried to do it a couple of months ago and apple said that if it was factory unlocked every time the phone shut off or died it would reset. I was just wondering if the same thing would happen if it wasn't factory unlocked? So if I get it unlocked everytime it will shut off it will reset? That is what i'm worried about.
- Will an unlocked iphone 3g work with Verizon if i put in an AT&T sim card? I got a friend's iPhone 3G, it was originally AT&T but i unlocked it, can i use the AT&T sim card that was originally in it and have it work for verizon?
