Will Apple repair my iphone?

Hi, So about a two and a half months ago, i got a new iphone 5 as a birthday present. Except when i took it out of the box, the audio was broken. Whenever i try to use earphones or headphones, only one side makes sound. Since i don't really live near an apple store, i have not been able to get it fixed. I went there once but they told me i needed to schedulle an appointment, which at the time i could not. So i was wondering, if i schedule an appointment, and go back there after almost two and a half months, will they still repair it for free?

I'm not sure whether a warranty was brought or not because it was a present. I doubt it was brought though.

Call them and give them the model number and they will be able to tell you if its covered by warranty and if so you can have it repaired for free.

Yes, they WILL fix it. I had the same problem with my 4S, sound on one earphone stopes working 4-months later. I took it in, they fixed it. Before that i've exchanged my iphones for free a couple of times. They always ask me if i wasn't happy or satisfied with their solution that they could just replace the phone altogether and get me a brand new one, and i did that twice, brand new iphone, free, on the spot. All iphones get 1-year warranty without buying any warranty. So you'll be fine.

The standard iphone5 warranty is one year, so your phone is covered. Whether this is covered under warranty or not depends on what is wrong with the phone.
