Will Apple replace my iPhone 4s?

Ok, true story. My 4 year old daughter slipped and fell into a creek, and I had to jump in to pull her out. She is totally fine, but alas, my iPhone 4s was forgotten in my pocket. It was dead when it went in, in it's Otter Box and I had hope- I put it in rice for a couple days, nothing. Just tried again to plug it in and it made the plugged in sound and it makes the screen shot sound when I push those buttons, but the screen does not come on. The weird part is, the indicators that I can see are not trigged. No pink at all. Don't know if it was the Otter Box or what, but my question is, are there more sensors that lie unseen on the inside of the phone that Apple will see if I try to take it in? (Its still in it's 1 year warranty) Let me know if you need more info.

There are internal sensors, from what I understand.

and your screen is dead i'm sure the warranty don't cover that either

Doubt it if it's water damaged, even if the indicator isn't pink.

they will not replace the phone unless there was manufacturing defects with the phone.

Hit up customer support with an email or walk into an apple store and tell them your story. If all else fails it sounds like your LCD died and you would need to get that replaced. Apple can fix it for a costly price or you can go to third party companies such as iFixIt or Milliamp.

I'm glad she's OK! Yes, there are internal sensors as well (if there weren't, people might try to replace the ones they can get at easily). Officially, Apple won't fix problems that aren't their fault, but there's no harm in asking - go to the Apple store and tell them about your heroics - who knows, they just might go for it!
