Will 'electronic books' ever completely replace actual books? Good move?
The world is changing.technology keeps getting better…
E-Books (Electronic Books) e.g. Amazon Kindle, Apple Iphone Reading Apps V REAL Books:
So i really have 2 questions for you:
1. Do you think E-books will ever (or at least have the potential) to completely replace actual books? Maybe in 2050? 3000? 3050?
2. Which do you prefer, E-books or real books and Why?
Although VHS cassettes are still availabl to buy, the once much-loved VHS (Video Home System) cassettes of my childhood have been replaced by DVDs and Blu-Rays. DVDs are clearly more dominant. Honestly how often do you see a VHS cassette when you walk into a store? Rarely i suspect!
Although Cassette tapes still exist, Compact Cassette tapes have been replaced by MP3s and Ipods. You rarely see them now on shelves. In fact it's no wonder music businesses are going broke because people use the internet for music now.
I think people will still want to have books in their homes.
No.
The difference between books and VHS, cassettes, et al are you don't need a device to read a book. As long as you can understand the language, you can read a book from 500 years ago.
There's the advantage of space and convenience for ebooks, but it still isn't the same as holding and reading a real book.
I hope not, I prefer having actual books.
In Poland - my country you don't see VHS anymore.
Which is a problem as we have some tapes with important events, and our vhs player is not working.
Will electronic books replace paper books?
I have a book reader, but I still do buy books.
I think it's more romantic.
- Why can't I hide or delete books on the Books app on my iPhone? I uploaded some free books to read on the app and after a couple chapters wasn't interested in them. I tried to delete them and they didn't go away. I tried to hide them and they still wouldn't go away. Now when I click "edit" it greys out the delete and hide options completely. I'm aggravated because I can't get rid of them no matter what I've tried.
- Which electronic device should i get? I want to get new gadgets but there are just to many to pick. Should i get an iphone, samsung galaxy note, or an ipad? Ps i have an android smartphone and an ipod touch 4th gen
- When dealing with small electronic components, should I wear gloves? I'm going to replace my iPhone 4S Screen. Which requires me to gut the whole phone in order to get to the screen. I'm pretty confident that it will be successful. But I'm aware that my oils or static can destroy (i don't know) the components. Would it be a good idea to wear latex gloves or something?
- What is a good app for iphone to read books (pdf files)? My iphone isn't factory unlocked so i can't install iOS 6. Which also means i can't download some apps like iBooks or Goodreader. I was wondering if someone can tell me a good app that i can download that allows me to read books. I have a 3gs thats running on 3.1.3.
