Will formatting an iPhone remove any police spyware?
Recently got my iPhone back from the police and I'm paranoid they put something on my phone to spy on me, would formatting and updating from iOS 6 to iOS 7 get rid of ANY spyware or files on the phone?
Take out the battery and check for a tracker.
There's no iphone spyware, nothing to worry about. Assuming you haven't jailbroken it of course.
Surely that would be illegal?
Anyway I think restoring it would help. But then again the police are going to be smarter than that
You sure can. AS LONG AS YOU FORMAT it will write over all current data and install everything as if it were a brand new device fresh out of the box!
- What to do before formatting my computer? I'm going to format my PC. I have already have a backup of important files. I use this PC to sync with my iPhone. Now I don't want to lose all the applications and contacts which are present in the iTunes library(Songs don't matter). What do I do? Any other tips before I format my computer?
- Virus or Spyware on iphone 3GS? I was checking my email earlier on my iphone 3GS and opened what I thought was a legitimate email from my friend but it turned out to be a spam mail. I clicked on a link and it brought be to a website about working from home and so on. I'm not sure if it had any virus or spyware attached to the link but is there any way I scan my iphone for this? Or do iphones by default not get any virus or spyware?
- Using Mobile Phone Spyware with Unjailbroken iPhone 4s? The phone I wish to view is an iPhone 4s, while I own an iPhone 4. Neither of ours are Jailbroken. I became aware that in order to use Mobile Spy the phone had to be jailbroken. I was seeing if there was another software that could be used that doesn't require me to jailbreak either of our phones. and if not, who's needs to be jailbroken? Mine or theirs? P.S. We both have the ios 6 update
- Quick formatting iPhone? Deleting all data, but keeping the current iOS as brand new? Besides going to settings-general-reset-Erase all content and settings? It takes hours long to format. I'm not asking for the restore with itunes. I want to format it quick. Any tools available in the software market?
