Will getting my smashed iphone screen repaired make the touch work again?

I dropped my iphone4 and the screen smashed, and the touch stopped working. If I take my phone to a repair shop and get a new screen will the touch start working again or shall I mention it in the shop?

Yes because they will replace the old screen with a new one.

It might, but ask the shop first, my brother dropped his iPad and got a brand new replacement for half the price. And GET A CASE!

Well, if the only thing that is not working correctly is the screen (as you only said the touch was messed up), replacing the screen should fix the problem. But if something cracked on the inside of your phone and that's part of the reason why your screen isn't working, you might want to check and fix that too.

  • My iphone 4 screen smashed but still works? My iphone slipped out of my pocket and fell flat onto the concrete. The screen smashed but the touch still works! We have a warranty with Apple but I've heard it might cost money still if they decide they can't fix it and just give me a new one? Is this true? Or will warranty cover everything? If they can fix it, how long will it take?
