Will I be able to trade in my iphone 5 for a 5s?

So in June i got an Iphone 5 verizon 32 GB. I know all the details for the iphone 5s and forsure want to buy it! If i have a contract for 2 years for verizon. What should I do in order to get the 5s without paying a *** ton of money?

Depends on contract

Generally your carrier will allow you to purchase the newest device when you don't have an upgrade, but they will charge you full price. This could be up to $649 for the iPhone 5S 16GB, or up to $749 for the 32GB to replace your current phone. Then, you can sell your iPhone 5 and currently will receive around $300 for it. The best way is to sell to a trade-in program like http://www.sidestreettech.com to have your price locked in a be guaranteed the money.

There are a couple ways to do this… But they are a little confusing. I'm in the same boat you are and am planning on upgrading to the 5S without breaking my wallet (hopefully). I read this post and it told me how to do it, you basically have to buy the phone off contract or break contract, but there are ways to do it for a cheaper price.

Two options.

Buy the 5S @ full retail for $749.99 for the 32GB.

Add a line, buy it for $299.99 and then disconnect the new line for $350 and activate the phone on your line.
