Will I have good cell coverage with virgin mobile?

I heard virgin mobile is by Sprint towers. If this is correct on sprint.com it says i should have great coverage and I live by a sprint tower. (I live in Rotterdam/Schenectady New York) my dad has had AMAZING coverage with no problems so far and he has used t-mobile and straight talk. I'm just afraid that when I get my iphone it won't have Internet anywhere and drop calls. Thanks for your help~

Added (1). On both it comes up dark green and apparently that's good? Also my friend one town away has had virgin mobile for a few years now so I think it will be good and I wish I could pick a best answer but its to early on thanks so much for your help

Virgin Mobile does indeed use the Sprint towers. You should check the V-M coverage map on their web site to be sure.

  • Will I have better coverage at school? So I currently own an iPhone 3GS. I usually never get any AT&T service at school, and if I'm lucky I get 1 bar of service which usually lasts for 5 minutes. I'm getting a Samsung Galaxy S4 over the next few days and I'm hoping that my service would improve. So my question is: If I switch over to a newer phone will I get better coverage or is the problem with my plan?
  • Which coverage is better t mobile or page plus? I have a verizon iPhone 4s and I don't know if I should unlock it with t mobile or go with page plus so I just wanted to know who had better coverage?
  • Walmart cellular plan/coverage good or bad? Thinking about switching to the Walmart cellphone service (or whatever you call it). I have AT&T right now and use an iPhone 4 alone with 3 others in my family. I'm pleased with AT&T except for how much it's costing. Is the cheap Walmart service good or is it hard to get service and not worth it?
  • Virgin Mobile Canada to virgin mobile USA? So I bought an iPhone 4S that is locked to bell which they say is compatible with virgin mobile Canada carrier, but I'm moving back to United States soon if I unlock it I can use it in united states on the usa Virgin mobile carrier right?
