Will I still receive missed imessages when I leave a Wi-Fi area?

My iphone 4s currently has no service as in the phone is shut off. However, I still can send iMessages. My question is if I iMesssage someone and I leave the Wi-Fi area will I receive their response message when I find another Wi-Fi area or will I just never receive it?

If you are sending it via an email address they will get it… If it is via your phone number they will not.

  • Will I receive all missed text messages once my service is back on? My parents temporarily cut off my phone service (AT&T iPhone). When they turn it back on, should I receive all missed texts from when it was off?
  • Why will my iPhone not receive iMessages for my phone number? I bought an unlocked iPhone and i was texting people through iMessage when I had Wi-Fi. Now I'm getting messages through normal texts only. When I go to the "Send & Receive" option under message settings, my phone number is there but it is gray in color and I can't select it. All the email addresses on the account can be selected but not my phone number. Can anyone help me?
  • Why is my Iphone not sending as Imessages and receiving iMessages from one person? I'm texting my wife and we both have iPhone's and she is getting the messages as an iMessage but the ones I'm sending her on my end show up at green. Sometime it will go as blue, get the little red exclamation point then send as regular SMS. I'm texting someone else too and she has an iPhone, and she is getting mine as regular iMessages and mine are sending as regular iMessages. Why aren't they sending to me wife as iMessages?
  • Why do I receive text messages and missed calls on my old Iphone. How do I stop this? When someone calls me on my new phone, it shows up as "missed call from ___".It doesn't ring on my on my old phone, but after I answer the call on my new phone, it says missed call on the old phone, if that makes sense. I receive text messages from people on my old iphone as well. I use it as my iPod because it could drain the life out of my new phone, so I don't necessarily want to reset the entire phone. I have cellular data off and I'm with Verizon.
