Will it charge me a fee to send an SMS message?
Whenever I don't have Wi-Fi and I try to text one of my friends with an iPhone i can't send it through iMessage so if I send it as an SMS message will it charge me an extra fee on my phone bill? (My phone plan has unlimited talk and text)
Probably yes, but I suggest going to a free Wi-Fi network and then message, or connect to Wi-Fi and then text through WhatsApp or any other social media
No, your plan covers SMS, so you can send as many SMS as you wish.
iMessages are sent using data, since you said you have unlimited text and talk, but did not mention data, I will assume that you do not have cellular data (internet), so that is why you are using Wi-Fi to send iMessages.
SMS is the abbreviation for "Short Message Service" - the formal name for "text messages".
As long as you are not using multimedia messages it will be part of your text allowance.
