Will my Iphone 5 work in another country?
I'm planning on going to America and need to use my phone. I won't be needing it to call people, just to browse the web and to listen to music.
My phone IS unlocked. Will I need to change the sim or get a sim from America?

- Will i still be able to use my iphone in another country without jailbreaking? I bought my iphone4 in japan since i was living there for sometime. But I've moved to a different country now. And I want to use the network provided.i'm still using ios4 and i feel like my iphone has been a lot more slower than it used to. Some tell me that in order to use it in a different country i need to jailbreak it but i want to update it to ios5. Will i still be able to use it if I update it to ios5?

- Turn iPhone to iPod in another country? I'm going on a month long trip to Japan and would like to bring along my iPhone 4 to take pictures with, listen to music, etc. I'm NOT TRYING TO USE IT AS A PHONE TO TALK OR TEXT OR USE DATA. I don't have international services. So I figure I can take out the SIM card and it will be an iPod touch with no services, right? My problem is that I don't want to come home to a big fat surprise bill.
