Will my iPhone ever work again?

So just a few hour ago I accidentally dropped my iphone4s down the toilet. As soon as I got it out it tried turning it on like 4 or 5 times and I tried charging it. But after reading all the article about what to do in that situation it said you shouldn't tried turning it on or shouldn't tried charging it. If you did that it wouldn't work anymore. Right now I put it in rice. Will my phone ever work again? I'm freaking out my dad will be really mad at me and if it doesn't work again I'll probably won't have another one for a long time. Please help. And when should I try turning it on again after putting it in rices.

First take out the battery, then put it in an enclosed space and turn on a light bulb to dry it out. Maybe put it in the oben without no heat turned on. It is usually pretty warm in there and should dry it out. I dropped mine in the Ocean and done this and it worked fine.
