Will my iPhone get heavier if i put more things into it like movies and music?
I have a 16GB iPhone 4S and I was wondering if my iPhone will get heavier with more media in it? For example, if I put 3 HD movies, 110 songs, 3 audio books, and podcasts in it, will it gain like 1/2 oz? I mean, with al that media, it has to, right?
No, it will not change in weight.
Digital volumes have the same amount of data whether it is empty (all 0s) or it has something like a movie (complex mix of 0s and 1s).

Your iPhone can't get heavier. If you put all that media into it will take up space in your storage, as in the memory. But it won't get any heavier.

Media and other data don't add weight to your iPhone, they just take up storage space.

My brother buys & rents a lot of movies via his AppleTV. I want to get him an iTunes gift card but am not sure if buying movies on the AppleTV works through iTunes. Would an iTunes gift card work for this purpose? I know it may have to be redeemed on a phone/computer but I want to know if it can then be used on the AppleTV.
