Will my iphone lock if i reset it?
I've forgotten my trusted number for apple id, but if i reset my whole iphone & signin with a different id, will it lock the whole iphone or not?
Resetting a phone means it's pretty much straight out of the box. So it will erase everything and ask you for a new way to unlock.
If the iPhone is iCloud Activation locked, then you can reset it as much as you want, but the first thing it will ask for after being reset is the original Apple ID. It's a security measure to make stolen iPhones less valuable as they can't be used properly. You'd have to turn off "Find My Phone" before resetting it, or enter the ID and password it asks for after resetting it.
- Will the MAC address of my iPhone reset if I reset my iPhone to its factory settings over iTunes? I have jailbroken my device and used terminal to change my MAC address so that I could connect to school's Wi-Fi. But when I wanted to change it to its initial number, I typed in a wrong value and it just messed up my Wi-Fi, I can't connect to Wi-Fi anymore. Wonder if resetting to factory settings would help…
- Will jailbreaking my iPhone reset the lock? I have an iPhone 3gs that was on contract with vodafone, who asked for the iphones IEMI thingy, and i have had it unlocked by them for a fee and i'm just wondering if i jailbroke my phone would it reset the unlock so it can only be used on vodafone? (currently using an o2 sim)
- Iphone lock button broken, is there any alternative to lock iphone? My iphone 3G lock button is totally damaged and is out of warranty and I can't afford to get it repaired. I was wondering is there any app which can convert "silent" button to lock button. Or may be an app on which i can manually lock the device. By the way my Iphone is jailbroken, and "accessibility" is not accessible.
- If I restore/reset iphone 6s will sim card info be removed with factory reset? Got this iphone and I know someone who wants to buy it off me, should i leave the sim card? Will erased if i factory reset the phone?
