Will my job reimburse me for stolen items?
So I work at 7/11 and the store got robbed while I was on duty. At gun point, they told me to open the register and give them everything. Not only did they take money from the register but they took my personal belongings as well (iphone, money, sneakers). My question is.am I just supposed to take a loss or is my job supposed to reimburse me for my loss? Please only answer if you are familiar with the law and you actually know what you are talking out.
I would reimburse you for your money and sneakers.
Unless your phone is needed for your job it should not have been in the store in the first place

I would talk to your boss about it. It wasn't your fault you got robbed. If they don't reimburse you for your items that were stolen, I would consult an attorney.
There's no law that says your employer must reimburse you for stolen items.
As your employer, I would add your missing items to the insurance claim and front you the money for them, but that's me.
You can certainly ask.
