Will my Sprint iPhones 4s work whilst I'm in Paris, Fr?

My mother and I are traveling to Paris, France and we have Sprint as our phone service. I have the iPhone 4s and she has a GS3. We both have sim cards,. Do we need to buy little cheap cellphones, or can we use our own?

I doubt your phones are even going to work over there, and if they do, its going to be HELLA expensive. I'd get a cheap SIM card from orange or something, if your phones are unlocked. But, honestly, I doubt you'll need them unless you plan on splitting up. If you want to take your phones to Europe so you can call home, don't even bother with cell phones, get Skype or something, calling over seas is ridiculously expensive. If you are hellbent on getting a phone over there, I'd get a cheap pay as you go phone from orange or something, I think the cheapest phone would be like maybe 20 euro, plus a SIM card, then you can fill the SIM card in the store or online. Also, free Starbucks Wi-Fi is your best friend.

IPhones with SIM cards will work, but you will pay very expensive US roaming rates. If your phones are unlocked, you're better off getting local SIMs from one of the phone stores located roughly every block from Dunqueque to Menton.

North America uses a different radio frequency for phones from the rest of the world, so unless these are tri-band or quad-band phones they won't work at all. Even if they do, calls will cost you a fortune because you're paying international roaming rates. If you really feel you actually need phones (and it IS possible to live without them - I do!) you can get cheap ones when you're there.
