Like, not only be in the army doing the told exercises they'll tell you to do in the army; But would someone be able to bring their iPhone with them if they're making music on the iPhone?

You can't have a cell phone of ANY sort with you during boot camp or tech school, but once you are fully trained and assigned to your regular duty assignment, you can have any kind of toys you can afford to pay for.

I have only seen MP3 or using your phone for music use when rucking with headphones, otherwise no, you will never be allowed to do this.
