Will the iPhone 5 last just as long as the iPhone 5C does?

I just bought a used iPhone 5, and I understand that it has pretty much the same internals and specs as the newer iPhone 5C. I would like to hear your opinions on this: as more iOS versions come out like iOS 9 and iOS 10, will the iPhone 5 eventually lose support for the latest iOS BEFORE the iPhone 5C or at the SAME TIME. They have the same specs, so it would almost be unreasonable to allow the latest iOS update to be compatible with the 5C and not the 5, because it would run at the same speed on both models. I would like your opinion, I understand that it is not possible to predict this.

Apple has the trend of keeping each phone for 4 or 3 updates. Sense the iPhone 5 came out on iOS 6 it will probably leave iOS 9:( Sense they are similar maybe they'd leave at the same time but apple has never got rid of 2 phones at the same time.

Unless they artificially inflate the time that the 5C is supported both will stop getting software updates at the same time.
