Will the iPhone 5c be discounted once the new iPhone is released?
I really want an unlocked iPhone 5c 16GB which is $549 right now. Once the new iPhone is released, will they discount the price of the 5c? And if so, by how much?
There's no way to sure, either the 5C or the 4S will most likely dropped. I bet any prices drops are not likely until Oct or Nov but no one knows for sure.
Probably. The 4s will be gone in Sept. But Apple sells 3 phones now, so it's 50/50 if the 5c survives. If it does make the cut I'd say $zero to 50 for the 16gb version max. Best luck.
Its possible. If Apple again plans to release 2 models with 2 different price points & the 5c not being the seller (entirely) they were hoping for.
I expect the 5s, 6 (4.7") & 6 (5.5") to be the 3 iPhones once Apple announces them. Also, just an FYI, they may drop the 16GB model & offer 32GB at the 16GB price.
If the 5c does continue on then it would end up being the price of the 4s now. If discontinued then its up to whoever is selling a used one.

I'm due an upgrade and was going to get an iPhone 5S as I'm not particularly bothered about the iPhone 6, mainly because it's so expensive.
