Will the straight talk sim card work with an Iphone purchased from Gamestop?

If i purchase this phone-http://www.gamestop.com/iphone/cell-phones/iphoner-3g-16gb-for-att-black-gamestop-premium-refurbished/98123
Will i be able to purchase a straight talk sim card and use the phone on straight talk?

You would have to get the phone unlocked. Which a lot of private cell phone stores do. Check your local Craigslist a lot of people on there DO IT FOR LIKE $10 TO $35.

It is illegal to unlock your phone as of January 30th…

HOWEVER, since Straight Talk does use the AT&T network in most areas, yes, it will work without unlocking the phone… You just need to get the AT&T-compatible SIM card from Straight Talk or Walmart. (straight talk is currently sold out of the AT&T SIM CARD… But WALMART.COM has it.)

  • Will a straight talk iPhone work in Japan with a Japanese sim card? I'm pretty sure you can put a sim card in it but I was curious I want to go to Japan sometime but it is difficult getting a phone there being a foreigner and it is pretty expensive but I see people switch their sim cards with there phones a lot like with at&t ect. I wonder if that would work the same overseas? Like putting a japanese cell service provider's sim card in the phone? This probably sounds really stupid though but thank you!
  • Straight talk sim card in Iphone 4 not working? I purchased an unlocked iphone 4 from ebay. I took a sim card out of a deactivated nokia e5 and cut it down to fit the iphone. When i put the sim card in the iphone a notification changes from no sim card to no service. I tried to activate the sim card using the serial number on it via straight talk website. It keeps telling that the serial number isn't recognized. I don't know if I need a new sim card or what I need to do. Can someone please help me?!

  • IPhone 4 Straight Talk Sim Card I want to order a sim card for my iPhone 4, but I don't know which one to choose or if it even matters. So when I go to buy the sim it asks if it's a CDMA, unlocked GSM, AT&T compatible or T-Mobile compatible. My iPhone isn't unlocked because I heard you don't need to, and it was with AT&T beforehand, so which do I choose?
