Will updating (to 6.1.4) a jailbroken iPhone 5 on 6.1.2 brick it?

So I'm updating to the beta version of ios 7, but first I need to uninstall my Evasi0n jailbreak and update to 6.1.4. Will just pressing the update button in iTunes brick my iPhone, or will I just loose the jailbreak? If this will brick it, what is the best way to go about restoring my iPhone?

also without a dev account your iphone on ios 7 will be disabled on or before july 22nd.
and most apps will not work on ios 7

I would uninstall your jailbreak before clicking 'Update' on iTunes.

If you do Update without removing it, and your iPhone bricks, you can just download 6.1.4 firmware from http://www.idownloadblog.com/download/. Then go to iTunes and Shift+Click on 'Restore iPhone' [Opt+Click for Mac.] Select the firmware you downloaded and let your iPhone restore itself.
