Will Verizon Wirless settle for what I owe them if I make them an offer?

I owe verizon witless right under $800. And I have for the last 2 years prob. I want to get Verizon back when the iPhone 6 comes out! So I was wondering if they would settle for less than the $800? Every 4-6 months since I've owed them, they will send me a settlement offer of like $350 or so. And I never accepted. Well now I want to accept so I can get back with them when the iPhone 6 comes out. But they haven't sent me anymore offers in the last 4 or 5 months. So should I make them an offer of like $350 right when/before the iPhone 6 comes out so I can get back with them? Will they accept, since I'm the one making the offer and not them?
Who should I call to do so?
And should I do it the day I go to Verizon to get the iphone 6 or should I do it a week or so before so it will be less hassle?

@Hairy there's a lot of mess in this to be sorted out. Bursting your bubble here but I have to by getting you to see the business side of this. These companies are never about forgiveness or making friends. They only care about making money and you only get one shot at that. Your shot has passed now. Don't ever go into a Verizon store again--ever. Why? Based on the signed agreement you did with them, you have violated the terms. That means they have trashed your credit and you are red flagged in the database on a 'no-no' customer blacklist. That settlement you get in the mail is probably from a collection agency they sold the debt to. It's still going to show on your credit report for years. Why do you care? Well because now that you violated an agreement with Verizon most other cell companies are going to be very leery of offering a contract to you because of your failure to pay on your credit report--if they offer one at all. If they do they'll want a hefty deposit as a guarantee. So your chances of getting an iPhone from them are slim to likely never. Do this since you probably can't get a contract any more. Save the coin you wanted to pay the bill off with to about $800 and buy an iPhone out-right and unlocked. That's about base price what it will run anyway. Then go to Tmobile or some other company and get a month-to-month no contract prepaid service deal. So if you miss a month or two and it's off your phone won't be fried. You can just start over when you get enough coin again because the phone is your's. Don't believe me? Run your free credit report somewhere to find out. Bottom line, that's basically how you can get another iPhone and why you won't ever do business with Verizon again in your lifetime too. Happened a lot in the Great Recession. Learn from it and move on. So toss the offers and start over. Best luck.
