The fact is, Virgin Mobile USA is a subsidiary of Sprint, so, naturally, the wealthy executives want to suck every ounce of profit out of the much more profitable Sprint iPhone 5 for upwards of a hundred dollars a month before they give it to Virgin for 35 dollars a month.
Keep on waiting. If you're getting anxious check out Straight Talk ($45 a month) or Cricket ($55 a month).
Now, usually, there's a 9 to 10 month gap between the Sprint release and the Virgin Mobile USA release. But, the iPhone 5 is very profitable so we could be waiting many more months, possibly a year. It is quite unknown when it will be released but just know there are others like you, waiting!

I have the 32gb version-A1453 w/SIM card ( GSM compatible) I know the Canada one will unlock after 90 days for $50 and Au will unlock it by just resetting for phone on iTunes but what about the US? Also, I heard Obama passed a bill saying it is now legal to unlock phones from 3rd parties. Would I be able to if virgin mobile doesn't unlock it for me?
