Wireless network not showing up?

For some reason my wireless network is not showing up on my laptop or my phone. I've tried turning the router off and then turning it back on but it didn't work. The internet works fine if I plug the Ethernet cord into my laptop but when I try to connect wirelessly, I can see all the other networks around me but mine doesn't even show up. Normally, my laptop or iphone will connect automatically. This just started happening 2 days ago out of nowhere. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not sure if you did this but try;
1.Unplug router for 2 min.
2.Hold reset button located on back of router while your plugging the router back in.
3. LED's should flash after 7-12 seconds indicated a true circuit reset
4. If you still don't have wireless I suggest contacted you service provider this morning.

Seems that your Wireless configuration has some issues, You can connect the laptop to the router using wire, and then login to the router, delete the configurations of the Wireless, and re-configure it, It will solve your problem.

Resetting the router is a possibility, but it ought to be a last resort.

Assuming the router has not broken, log on to the router and check that the router is not set either with wireless turned off, or with the broadcast of the network name turned off. Obviously if somehow the wireless has been turned off, then nothing can connect to it; however, if broadcasting the network name (SSID) has been disabled, then the client (computer or phone) has to configured to connect to the hidden network. You should try flipping both these settings off, rebooting the router, then login again and switch the wireless back on again. It is up to you whether you turn the SSID broadcast on again. If the SSID is not being broadcast then there are a couple of tips below.

In a Windows computer, if the operating system itself is controlling the wireless network, there's an option in the properties of the specific wireless network that says connect to a network that is not broadcasting its name. Some Windows systems use a proprietary wireless management tool. If yours is one of those, check what settings it offers.

In Android 3 and 4, there should be an option to add a network without picking it from a list of visible networks. Adding a network this way will allow it to find a hidden network. If the network is already configured, tell the system to forget it, then add it in again.

In you have an iPhone, iPad or a Linux system, then it should still be possible but I have no tips for you.

If all this fails to resolve your problem, then you may need to reset the router, but you may lose ISP specific settings so talk to the ISP first.
