Wireless not currently enabled?

I recently moved to a new house and setup a wireless network. My iPhone and iPad both have functioning Wi-Fi but my computer and laptop do not. My computer does not have a physical wireless switch. I tried Method 3 from this site (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/windows-7-wireless-not-currently-enabled/84aace71-d509-452d-955c-c27f3956f1d5) and it still did not work. Method 2 is not applicable to me because I do not have "Network Options" available. My computer is within range.

When I click on the network icon on the bottom right of my screen I see "Broadband Connection" under Dial-Up and VPN but no "Wireless Network Connections." My parents' computer has a cable connected to it so this one does not use wireless, instead it uses "Local Area Connection."

When I click on "Wireless Network Connection" it shows…
IPv4 Connectivity: Internet
IPv6 Connectivity: No internet access
Media State: Enabled

Under "Activity"
Sent and Received looks fine and is working.
I'm at a desperate loss of what to do. I've been to countless websites and checked things over and over again and NOTHING is working. I've been without internet for weeks and now that finally have it setup, my computer won't connect.

Sincere and helpful suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Links are okay too although I probably read them all by now.

I want to learn how to solve this problem on my own for the future, so detailed answers please.
Thanks for reading.

You are explaining all the things you have tried, but not the kind of information a Tech Support person could use. The first step is making sure the hardware drivers are installed. The other is to open menus, network connections and see if it shows a wireless connection. If it is not there a netwrok connection was never created for wireless and if it is there, click on it to open the properties and check the enable, then close the menus and reboot which makes wireless a pernament connection. Most Desktops do not have built in wireless hardware.

1. Who manufactured the computer
2. What model is it
3. What operating system it is using
4. Cable or wireless access
5.Is the wireless built in or is it a USB Device.

Your info is a bit vague.
When you say your connection says dialup etc sounds to me as it was a mobile broadband connection over the mobile phone networks
IPv4 and IPv6 are internet address protocols which I will explain if you want.

My question to is what make and model comp are you talking about
