Wireless tethering with Canon 650D/Rebel t4i?

Hi I'm a user of EOS Canon 650D/Rebel T4i.

I've been in photography for while now, and I want to start to enquire more about tethering. I'm aware that can tether my camera to my laptop with the canon programs via USB cable. It's quite good enough to be able to view my photos on my laptop straight, but

I want to enquire more about wireless tethering. I'm also aware that my camera does not provide Wi-Fi. I want to transfer the photos from the camera to my iphone or laptop straight away without any wires. I've read a few forums stating that even if your camera does not have wi-fi you are still able to do so with the eye-fi card (memory card with built Wi-Fi). Like for the canon 6d has built in Wi-Fi and it allows you to do wireless tethering with an application on iphone called EOS remote

so my questions are

-is it possible for my 650d to do wireless tethering
-can you tell me other possible ways to be able to do wireless tethering

thank you for reading, i hope you can provide me with a good explanation

For tethering you can check your owner's manual. Only another t4i owner can answer that question. Besides only a few select dslr cameras are capable of tethering even with a cable so check your manual.

Wireless… To lazy to use a cable. Come on. Use an external card reader, the most efficient way to transfer anyway.

The answers to your questions start on page 307 of your manual.

You already know about Eye-Fi. Go for it!

  • Wireless router experiencing problems when an Apple device connects via wireless? We have a home router (CD-R King brand), everything runs smoothly until someone with an apple device connects to the network. I tried pinging google continuously, but when an ipad or iphone connects. The network goes down. i've heard this problem from a friend.what's causing this problem?
  • Wireless remote for canon rebel t5i? Using Eye-fi? I recently bought a Canon Rebel t5i and an Eye-fi SD card. The card produces Wi-Fi and automatically syncs the pictures I take on the camera to my iphone. I know other canon cameras with built-in Wi-Fi allow you to view what the lens sees from your smart phone, and use it as a hi-tech remote, where you can change the settings. I can't find anything in the instruction manual or internet. Someone please help! Am i able to do this with the eye-fi card? If so, how and what app?

  • Is there any difference between the beats wireless studio 2 and the brand new studio 3 wireless headphones? I currently have the beats pro that I bought a few years ago and I have the new iPhone 8 and it doesn't take a headphone jack unless you buy the special adapter which isn't godly expensive like $5-7. But to me that defeats the purpose of the phone. I was just curious as to if there are any key differences between the two and if so, what are they? Which would you prefer the two? Or maybe even keeping my headphones and getting the adapter?
