With the past as a indicator, when will the iPhone 5 drop in price?
IF Apple is announcing the release date of the iPhone 5s on September 10, when do you believe that the cost of the iPhone 5 will be reduced?
The day of the announcement?
The day of the release of the 5s?
A month after release?
Please let me know if you are using past experience or why you speculate the date you chose…
I would say the day of the release. I don't have any past experience with the iphone, but it would make the most sense… People wait a long time for prices to drop for the iphone so i think apple would do it quickly to allow poeple to buy their product.
I've been with Verizon for a decade, and was here for the Verizon iPhone 4, until the iPhone 5. I can tell you on first 2 weeks of the next iPhone, the past iPhones goes down 100$ in price.
Therefore, when the next iPhone 5S comes out, if Verizon follows the pattern they've followed for around 4 years, the iPhone 4S should be free, the iPhone 5 will be 100$, and the iPhone 5S will be 200$ on contract.

- Will the price of the iPhone 4 drop? I want to buy an iPhone 4 off eBay without a contract… Will the price drop now that the iPhone 5 is out? And how much? When is the ideal time to buy it?
- Will the iPhone 6s price drop with the release of the iPhone SE next week? I've been thinking of getting the 6s for a while now and I know the price has dropped quite a bit since it's release but I want to know if it's still worth waiting a bit if it'll go down again once the new phone comes out. I know previously in iPhone history this is usually what happens but considering the fact that this phone will be cheaper I don't know if the same thing would happen. Any info would be great, thanks!
- Will the IPhone 5 be considered cool and will the price drop? So I want to get an IPhone but its too much money that I can't really afford so I'm thinking of getting an IPhone 5. But will the IPhone 5 price drop once it comes out and will it still be considered cool? Because one the IPhone 5 came out alot of people got the 5 and considered the 4S to be boring.
- Will the iPhone 4s drop in price (more)? The iphone 5 just came out today and the iPhone 4s 16GB dropped to $99 with 2 year contract (for ATT). I was wondering if any other stores will be selling it for an even lower price soon or will the $99 be a fixed price for all stores? Thanks! Oops sorry, I meant "introduced" today.
