Would I be considered materialistic?
I'm a college guy. 20. I spend what I can and dot ask my parents for money. But the stuff I spen my money on is on Movies, Blurays, Comics, Books, and Video Games. When I buy clothes I shop at JCPenny, Kohls, Old Navy, and Target. And I don't buy high end clothes. I dress in plaid shirts, fitted jeans, cardigans, screen ts and converse. I usually shop when they have sales on clothes. I can afford to pay regular price but I refuse to pay regular price. The phone I currently have is a iPhone 4S which is two years old and I'm not planning to upgrade. What do you consider materalistic.
Well, I don't think you're materialistic. But I do think that you're misspending.
I would consider anyone who cares more about money and possessions than anything else, which I don't think you do.
Materialistic is someone who only thinks about themselves and have to have the best of the best. You're not materialistic
Well I don't think you are materialistic but you do have a lot of material things… There's a difference. If you would only wear the best clothes and have a brand name everthing and drive a hot car and use your plastic to the limit and owe the bank just to impress other people… This is materialistic. Then there's careful, frugal and tight, this is when even if you want something, you don't want to pay for it. It is really good to be careful or a little frugal, tight is not good, you do have to spoil yourself sometimes and if you can't what you have, that is no fun. If this has been said by someone to you, the possiblity is that they are a little jealous or they can't afford what you have so I would keep it to myself of my purchases as they may not have the money to do so.
My thing is… Buy less, buy quality and save a little.
Would you complain if your mother doesn't give you christmas presents because she gave the money to the poor?
Do you judge people based on the brand of clothes they wear, the gadgets they own, what for house they live in?
Would you sell your mother's soul in exchange for the perfect dolce and gabanna bag?
If you don't do any of these, you're not materialistic
On a scale 1-10, where 10 is super materialistic, you prob a 7.
