Would This Business Succeed or Fail?

I'm 16, and I have motivation to start a small business. I currently own a MakerBot 3D Printer, and I have 3+ years of experience working with CAD (Computer Aided Design) software to make practically anything possible, from cars to small parts. I would like to open up a small business that can make various cases & accessories for the most popular consumer electronics. From iPhone cases to basic feature-phone cases, all different types of these cases for practically every phone. I can easily access the dimensions for all different types of devices. The difference with my company would be that these cases would be completely custom. Choose a color, and a completely unique design. The consumer would send a drawing/picture with a description of the design to the business e-mail, and then we would create the rendering, send it to the consumer, and then if they approve, they pay using paypal, we create the case, and then ship it. I'm not confident that this could be profitable.

Anything can be successful, if you have plenty of passion and demand for what you are selling. If you already canvased your market and asked around, if there's a need or want, for it then go for it. You need Tax ID #, Business License, state, county, city, etc. (in USA),

And by all means, Please, come up with a creative Business Name, not Sally's designs or Bob's printing service. Oh and a great website.

It is a profitable idea, but problem is if you don't know how to market… Your business will fail.

Write up a good business plan, good marketing plan and of course, you need capital. For this project, I estimate you would need $15-30, 000 USD.

You can do whatever you put your mind too.me and my fiancee' just started a business about two months ago and it's outstanding. Just keep pushing forward and don't get discouraged if you start off slow cause it takes time to run a business.
