YouTube not working on my IPhone?

I have an IPhone 4S, and whenever I try to watch a video on YouTube, it says "This video is playing on the TV", the screen turns black, and a picture of a Tv is above the words. You can still hear the sounds, but there are no images. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

First thing you should try is to restart your iPhone.
If that doesn't work, you have pressed the Airplay button on the YouTube app (a little white pyramid/triangle sort of button). Press it again to turn it off and it will probably stop thinking that.

It started today, if I try to watch a YouTube video without headphones and the phone is on silent, there's no audio. But if I turn the ringer on there's audio. Obviously I've looked at the volume levels, and they're up. Like i said its only started today and it's very frustrating!

  • Youtube not working on iPhone 5? I keep going on youtube and when I click on a video, it keeps on going to some Kia commercial and I have to wait 30 seconds for it to finish. When it does finish it just pauses at the end of the commercial and when I press play, it just goes to the beginning of the advert and this keeps happening over and over so I can't get to the video. It's rather annoying:@ and my iPhones a month old. Any suggestions please?
