Accessing work folder from home?

I'm wondering what I can use to access (view and modify) a folder on my desktop at work from either my HP Laptop, iPad, or preferably my iPhone.
The folder contains excel sheets and word documents (basically a generic main folder that contains a folder for each of my customers and has multiple excel sheets in each customers folder). This folder is constantly growing/ changing and when I'm out of the office (which is a lot) I need to be able to look at the customers excel sheets to relay information (it would also allow me to throw away ~10 lbs worth of print outs I have).
I need to be able to access it through some sort of internet connection, but whether that is a website or some sort of shared folder I'm not sure. It also needs to be something free, not some web service I need to buy or pay monthly for.

Only if your employer allows it & you have some type of program like "Go To My PC' to get you access.

If you trust the cloud, and not worried about getting hack'd or information stolen, you can use Cloud Storage like DropBox, Box, or Amazon Cloud. (All offer free membership, with limited storage)

Otherwise, you need to buy new hardware, Cisco VPN comes to mind, and use that to connect, so (home/outside) <-> VPN <-> Work PC

  • Running an exe.file through a folder on iphone 3gs? I have a folder which has two folders and various extensions and the following file extensions next to those two folders: exe. And xml. I want to know, since when the exe. Is run on Windows, a sort of a presentation starts running, with a video on the left and something like ppt.slides on the right. Is there any way to merge files and folders into one exe.file and play it on iphone 3gs, or to copy all sub-folders and files into one folder and run it as an executable on iphone 3gs?
  • Keeping others from accessing router settings? I need to keep other people in my house from accessing the router settings. I want to only be able to access the settings from my iPhone. Should I put my iPhones IP address into the remote management page where it says "allow remote access by only this computer" or would I be able to add the log in page to blocked sites and allow my iPhone to access blocked sites?
  • How to UNBLOCK iPhone from accessing Wi-Fi? I think my phone's been blocked from accessing Wi-Fi. My brother does something in cmd.exe (on his computer) to prevent certain gadgets here in the house from accessing Wi-Fi. How can I unblock my phone on my own?
  • How to stop my iPhone from accessing the internet while I'm in the car? I just got my first iPhone, and in the plan I get charged for using the internet when I'm not connected to Wi-Fi. To avoid getting billed extra, I shut off programs like facebook and snapchat while I'm in the car or whatever, but I'm still getting notifications, which must mean that my iPhone is still using the internet. How do I stop it from doing that? I don't want to pay extra.
