How to stop my iPhone from accessing the internet while I'm in the car?
I just got my first iPhone, and in the plan I get charged for using the internet when I'm not connected to Wi-Fi. To avoid getting billed extra, I shut off programs like facebook and snapchat while I'm in the car or whatever, but I'm still getting notifications, which must mean that my iPhone is still using the internet. How do I stop it from doing that? I don't want to pay extra.
Go to your settings and turn on airplane mode. That should keep it from going on the internet
If your running iOS 6 (other versions should be very similar)
Settings - general - cellular - cellular data (slide to off)
This will stop your phone from having access to Internet while not affecting any calling/texting features
- Keeping others from accessing router settings? I need to keep other people in my house from accessing the router settings. I want to only be able to access the settings from my iPhone. Should I put my iPhones IP address into the remote management page where it says "allow remote access by only this computer" or would I be able to add the log in page to blocked sites and allow my iPhone to access blocked sites?

Since the iPhone battery doesn't usually last long, i was wondering if there's another way to charge my phone without a car charger. So I have been wanting to listen to music through my iPhone in the car for awhile now since burning CDs is not something I specialize in.
