Activating my iPhone 5s (Verizon)?
So I just upgraded to iPhone 4 to iPhone 5s with Verizon. So unfortunately they didn't sent me an activation guide.
So when I set up my phone, my iPhone 5s doesn't have my mobile number and it says "unknown, but my iPhone 4 has my number in place. I tested it out and my bro sent me a text and it went straight to my iPhone 4, and my 5s didn't receive anything. Strange.
I looked it up and it said my previous phone was supposed to be turned off. Is that true?
Could I restore my iPhone 5s and start over? Is that possible?
How do I get out of this predicament? Any suggestions?
I can't imagine why anyone would be asking that question here instead of asking Verizon.
You have to contact Verizon Wireless Customer Care and tell them that you want to switch your cell phone. Tell them you got a new iphone 5s and that you will deactivate your old phone but now use the iphone 5s. You will still have the same phone number and plan. Nothing changes.

- Why isn't my iphone 3GS activating? Ok, so my iPhone 3GS was unlocked on 5.1.1, and it was jailbroken. I wanted to factory unlock it, so it will be 6.0.1 and still unlock. When the people said my unlock was ready, they told me to update it to 6.0.1. When I tried setting it up and activate it, it won't work. It says we're unable to continue with your activation at this time. Any help would be appreciated.
- Verizon iPhone 5 not activating? I received my new iPhone 5 today and it keeps saying that it isn't activating and to call the Verizon customer support number if the problem persists. Unfortunately it is after business hours and I can't call them until tomorrow. Is there anything that I can do to activate it now?
