Are you allowed to have a yard sale in the uk?

I'm currently earning money for the iphone 6 so me and my friend have agreed that we could run an actual yard sale. We're going to bake cakes and sell loom bands (ready made) as they are the latest craze at the moment where we live. As well as stuff in good condition like my old ds and toys we had when we were Younger. However will I need any permits or is it in I illegal anyway. I live in the uk in a county called Surrey.

You can, as long as it is a one off, not every week.

Yes you are allowed to have yard sales even though we toffee nosed Brits don't like to hold yard sales ourselves as we consider them too demeaning.

You don't need any permits, just display a large sign on the outskirts of your property so that people walk in and don't be disappointed if it rains and ruins your yard sale. Our weather is notorious for changing for the worse suddenly.

Sadly your yard sale will never generate enough income to buy an iPhone 6 which is due out in September 2014 as rumours say it will cost between £600 and £750 (Apple like to milk their customers just like humans milk us cows).

You will be lucky if you manage to get £50 from your yard sale as we Brits are too proud to buy from people's yard sales, we would rather pay 10 times more to buy from shops so your neighbours don't look down upon us.
