Audiobook apps for iPhone that doesn't cost a fortune to buy a book?

I've used audible before, but I don't want to pay $30 for a book I'll read in a day or two. It doesn't have to be a fancy app, just a good app that doesn't glitch.

The San Bernardino County System has Overdrive which is a free app that lets me check out audiobooks and download them directly to my iPod Touch.

I don't think the app determines the price of the item. All the companies have competitive prices, from what I"ve seen while shopping for ebooks. Like the above answer stated, libraries do have free audiobooks, of course you have to deal with checking out, holding, and signing up, but it's legal and you are supporting the author.

  • Would anyone buy a book about this topic? My life has been abusive since I can remember and I want to write a book about it, do people buy books like that? It basically starts off as my childhood memories if my oarents fighting, then us leaving when dads at work then my father attempting to kidnap me then being returned to him when he won custody, then years if abuse that carried in into my relationships. Would that be the kind if book publishers would be interested in? Sorry for bad spelling.iPhone… Spellchecker
  • What are some good book apps? I was wondering if there was any apps for the iPhone where you could rate books and give reviews and get suggestions based on your ratings and preferences. I have the app Goodreads and it's pretty good but you can only review and rate books, is there any apps where it will give you suggestions on what to read based on your ratings or at least what is popular? Thanks and I only get free apps so it has to be free.
  • What are some good alternatives to the Book Book iphone 4s phone case/wallet? I'm looking for a new phone case for my iphone 4s. I want one that is also a wallet. I like the book book case but not sure how i feel about it looking like a book, and also not having a hole for the camera. There's one brand called Navo. Is this a good brand?
