Bbm for iphone and other smart phones?

I've been hearing that bbm will be able to go to iphones and other smart phones from late summer. But has this yet been confirmed by apple and google or is it a maybe?

BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) is coming to Android and iPhone smartphones this summer according to Thorsten Heins (CEO of BlackBerry). Apple and Google have not confirmed that it will be coming (as it is not their job to do so, BlackBerry are the owners of BBM, not Apple or Google) but the app is in development by BlackBerry at the moment and will be submitted to both Apple and Google for release on their app stores.   • Why is the iphone so much better than other smart phones? I'm not trying to start a fight here. It just seems like Apple has access to alien technology or something. I've been trying to help my dad with his Samsung stratosphere and the difference is staggering. Another thing worth noting is that any of my friends who have non iphone smart phones also carry their ipod touches around with them. That says something.

It really does annoy me because they are little and don't need a really expensive phone just for emergencies. I always see them on the phones and ipods. My brother is almost in middle school and has the cheapest phone. And i'm in highschool and my phone is nowhere near the expesive phones the elementary kids have infact my phone is used so i got for free.

  • Recommend newish smart phones no bigger than iPhone 6? I know very little about smartphones and their rankings and such, as I still have the same phone from over 4 years ago. I want nothing bigger than the iPhone 6 as I value how comfy a phone is inside a pocket.
