Why is the iphone so much better than other smart phones?

I'm not trying to start a fight here. It just seems like Apple has access to alien technology or something. I've been trying to help my dad with his Samsung stratosphere and the difference is staggering.

Added (1). Another thing worth noting is that any of my friends who have non iphone smart phones also carry their ipod touches around with them. That says something.

No it's not better than other smartphones. Apple does not have access to alien technology. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is far more advanced than the iPhone 4S.

You obviously haven't ever rooted an android phone and seen its real capabilities. All Apple does is spy on its users. Good luck with that. If your having problems with an android phone go here.

IPhone is more than just a phone. Whatever I need is in there and I love how simple the iPhone interface is.

Personally I owned alot of contract phones from going to Nokia, Samsungs and iPhone to me is always the best.

Tell your dad apple is using ios 5 which is 5 years ahead of other smartphone, which make iPhone insanely fast. And it's Siri is amazingly smart.iPhone's don't lag. Slide the screen of Samsung left to right. And it will lag. Hope I help, ps I'm not Samsung hater.

I won't say iphone is the best smartphone because there are lot of other smartphone that are more powerful than iphone 4s(latest generation of iphone) like galaxy s3. But a phone will be like by the user when the phone provides all the features and capabilities that the user wants.

Pros of having iphone
1. THE APPS WILL FIRST COME ON IOS (IPHONE).
2. THE IPHONE HAS THE RETINA DISPLAY, THE WORLS CRISIEST SCREEN. BETTER THAN ANY ANDROID besides the samsung galaxy s3.
3.HAVING THE NAME OF APPLE.
4.SUPER STEEL BODY.(of the IPHONE 4S)
5.OFCOURSE, THE BEST OPERATING SYSTEM, IOS.
6. THE Help OF SIRI. Siri is a voice assistant from apple. And its very responsive.
CONS of having iphone.
1.dock connector charger.
2. No expandable memory. But available upto 64GB.
3. When we look at the price of iphone 4s, the screen is very small, BUT THE UPCOMING IPHONE 5 HAS BIGGER SCREEN.

The Iphone is not better then other Smartphones. First the IPhones screen is so small second the average android phone screen is 4.3 inches of bigger. The Stratosphere is running Gingerbread totally different then ICS and Jellybean. Try out ICS or Jellybean it makes a world of difference. IOS just looks stale compared to it. In Android you can customize the phone how you want with widgets and apps. Not how apple wants you too. Android phone are more like a mini computer and the Iphone is more like a feature phone smartphone capabilities built in.
